As we wrap up the year, we wanted to share a short overview of what we’ve improved, what we shipped in software, and what we’re working on next. Thank you for being part of this journey. GLORB is our first product, and your feedback has shaped it more than you might think.

Recent Firmware Updates

Firmware 1.2 (Nov 2025)

  • Apple HomeKit support added via HomeSpan
  • Fixed color calibration (gamma correction) for more accurate colors
  • General stability fixes

Firmware 1.3 (Dec 2025)

  • New animations: Pulse Wave, Gradient Flow, Fold
  • New sound-reactive modes: Colorloop and Running
  • Major Bluetooth stability improvements (connections, reconnects, multiple requests)
  • Lower memory usage, resulting in smoother performance
  • General bug fixes and groundwork for future improvements

Looking ahead

  • More animations and curated color palettes
  • Expanded audio-reactive features
  • Improved smart-home integrations
  • Continued focus on stability and reliability

iOS App Updates

The iOS app has seen major functional improvements this year:

  • Switched to a WebSocket-based connection for better responsiveness
  • Added Preset Collections
  • Improved Scheduling, including reliability fixes
  • New default configurations such as brightness and startup behavior
  • Added reset options for app state and connections

Looking ahead

  • More advanced configuration options
  • Smoother connection and reconnection flows
  • A broader UI/UX redesign

Android App Updates

The Android app has matured significantly over the year:

  • More stable Bluetooth connections
  • Wi-Fi scan and connect flow
  • Control page for animations and palettes
  • Preset library with improved reliability

  • Transition to WebSocket connections

Hardware Updates

Over the year, we’ve made several small but meaningful hardware improvements based on real-world usage:

  • Refined packaging, making it more robust for shipping and storage
  • Tooling adjustments for the panels, improving fit, finish, and consistency

Looking ahead

  • Further PCB optimizations to improve stability and production robustness

  • Our User Guide continues to grow with clearer setup and troubleshooting instructions
