GLORB setup guide

Thank you for receiving a pre-release version of the GLORB!

Our software and app is still under development and will be updated frequently the coming weeks and months, but you should be able to enjoy its core functionality.

The steps below will guide you through the setup process depending (on your operating system). Please reach out to us if you encounter any issues!

IOS Users

Once plugged in, the GLORB should show up on the start screen of the app. If not, try restarting the app and/or the GLORB. You might also have to enable Bluetooth on your phone.

The app lets you control the GLORB directly using Bluetooth, but for better reliability go to "Modes" and press the window on the top of the screen to connect it to your network.

You can also enter the IP adress of the GLORB (listed under settings in the SNRGY app) in a Chrome web browser window and control it through the browser.

Android Users

Android users will have to connect the GLORB using regular methods for WLED devices and control it using one of the available WLED applications (until we publish our own). We recommend WLED Native, you can get it by pressing the button below.

PS: We also recommend checking out WLED+, which has a sleeker design compared to WLED Native. You can find it in the Google Play Store!

Once plugged in, the GLORB creates its own Access Point that will appear in your WiFi list (if not already connected), called WLED-AP. If the AP doesn't show up in the list, restart the GLORB and be patient... It might take a minute or so for it to appear.

1. Connect to WLED-AP in the WiFi list with the default password wled1234 (if prompted).

2. A pop up window should appear. Press "WIFI SETTINGS".

3. Type your network credentials ("Network name" and "Network password"). Press "Save & Connect".

4. Close the window and re-connect to your regular network.

5. In WLED Native, The GLORB should show up on the start screen. You can also enter the IP adress of the GLORB (listed on the start screen of the mobile app) in a Chrome web browser window and control it through the browser.

Control the GLORB

Once connected to your network, you should be able to control the GLORB by changing animations, color palettes or presets, and play around with different slider settings!

Update firmware

If, for some reason, there are issues or bugs with the GLORB that you are not able to solve by for example restarting the device or the app, you might need to reinstall updated firmware on the GLORB. Until we provide updates through the mobile app directly, this can be done by plugging it in to a USB-C port on your computer and following the steps on our Web Installer page (use a Chrome browser on your computer):

Once installed, connect the GLORB again to a power supply and follow the steps above for your specific device.
